Nisha Manocha, PhD, is an experienced professional with a strong background in economic development and literature. Nisha served as the Economic Development Officer for the City of Vaughan from December 2014 to April 2021, where responsibilities included developing strategies and programs to support business growth and engaging with stakeholders across various levels. Nisha's academic achievements include a PhD in Anglo-American modernist literature and postcolonial literature from the University of Oxford, as well as a Master's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Toronto. Currently, Nisha holds the position of Senior Manager at Deloitte's National Sales Office, having started with the company as a Manager. Prior experience also includes participation in the Insight Programme at McKinsey & Company and lecturing at the University of Oxford.
