Yama Abassi currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Deepcell since August 2025. Previously, Yama held positions at Agilent Technologies, starting as Director and later advancing to Associate Vice President from May 2019 to September 2024. Prior experience includes Vice President at ACEA Biosciences from October 2003 to May 2019 and Sr. Director at The Burnham Institute from January 1999 to February 2003, where a focus on Cancer Biology and Cell Signaling was prominent during a post-doctoral fellowship. Yama Abassi earned a PhD in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Barbara and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University.
