Tarek Sherif is an accomplished professional in data visualization with extensive experience in software engineering. Sherif served as Staff Engineer and Engineering Team Lead at Datadog from March 2021 to April 2024, focusing on data visualization. Prior to Datadog, Sherif was a Senior Software Engineer at Uber from February 2019 to June 2020, leading the luma.gl project, an open-source 3D rendering technology.
