Andrey Marchenko is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in Ruby and Elixir development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Datadog since August 2023, Andrey is focused on enhancing the test visibility library for Ruby. Previously, at Shopify, Andrey led efforts to diagnose and resolve a critical performance issue within a high-load endpoint, significantly impacting the Ruby monolith's garbage collection efficiency. Andrey also made substantial contributions at SHARE NOW by re-implementing a data ingestion pipeline in Elixir, drastically improving system stability and reducing incidents. Prior roles include enhancing data import speeds at kloeckner.i GmbH, developing a greenfield project at finleap connect, and performing full-stack development at AT Consulting.
