Gavin (Qiuyu) Peng is a Senior Staff Tech Lead Manager in AI Research at Databricks, where they focus on developing an autonomous analytics and machine learning data science agent. Previously, they held various positions, including Software Engineer Intern at Facebook, Research Engineer at DeepMind, and R&D Executive Director at Momenta, leading teams in machine learning and planning systems. Gavin has experience in multiple tech firms, including Google, Nuro, and Cruise, where they contributed to advancements in autonomous vehicle technology and machine learning solutions. They are currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology and hold a B.S. in Information Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
