Joshua Loud, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Economist at Danske Bank since March 2023. Prior to this role, Joshua was the Head of Country Risk at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development from October 2015 to March 2023, leading a team that monitored economic and political developments across 39 countries and produced comprehensive risk reports. Joshua also worked as a Senior Country Risk Analyst at GE Capital, where analysis focused on macroeconomic and political trends in Europe and East Asia. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where quantitative indicators of systemic risk were developed, and as a Detailee supporting the Financial Stability Oversight Council's annual report. Joshua holds a PhD in Political Economics from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science in Data Science from The University of Texas at Austin, an MA in Economics from Stanford University, and a BA in Economics, Political Science, and Mathematics from Brigham Young University.
