Mònica Colominas Aparicio is a guitarist and Arabist currently serving as a Distinguished Researcher at CSIC. They have held various academic positions, including a Tenure-Track Professorship at the University of Groningen and a VENI Researcher role at the University of Amsterdam. Mònica has also worked as an Artistic Project Assistant at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and has taught music and Spanish at multiple institutions. They pursued advanced education in Arabic language and culture at the University of Amsterdam and have earned degrees in guitar from both the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu.
