John Cuthbertson has extensive experience in safety management and operational improvement within the railway industry. Currently serving as a Safety Supervisor at REMCAN Projects LP since June 2019, John is focused on railway infrastructure construction and maintenance. In parallel, John has been a Consultant with Laurem Consulting since June 2015 and a Mechanical Safety Specialist at Canadian Pacific Railway since April 2011, where responsibilities include advising senior corporate management on comprehensive safety programs for unionized workers in Canada and the U.S. Previous roles at Canadian Pacific Railway include Production Manager and Process Manager for the Alberta Service Area, where John contributed to the design of the locomotive reliability center and the management of mechanical safety. John began his career as an Overhaul Process Manager at Canadian Pacific Railway, developing overhaul programs for locomotives. John holds a Management Certificate in Business Administration and Management from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, earned between 1998 and 2004.
