Michael Lorenz is a seasoned professional in engineering and project management with extensive experience in the chemical industry. Currently serving as Department Head of Engineering Management, Process, Equipment and Logistics at Covestro since September 2015, Lorenz has held multiple vice president roles within the organization, including Unit Head of Global Process and Equipment Engineering and Unit Head of Engineering Excellence. Prior to Covestro, Lorenz was the Head of Project Excellence at Bayer Material Science and held leadership positions at INVITE GmbH, Bayer Technology Services, and Bayer Thailand, where Lorenz managed various projects and engineering initiatives. Lorenz began a career in engineering at Bayer and holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Chemical Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum.
