David Montgomery has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. David started their career as a Civil Designer at CSHQA in 2000 and worked there until 2008. Afterwards, they joined Murray, Smith & Associates, Inc. in 2009 as an Engineer In Training, where they worked until 2011. David then transitioned to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, where they worked as a Naval Architect from 2011 until 2023. Currently, they are working as an Engineering Designer at CONSOR Engineers, starting in February 2023.

David Montgomery completed an Associate of Science degree in Drafting and Design Technology/Technician, General from ITT Technical Institute-Boise between 1996 and 1998. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Boise State University from 2001 to 2009.
