Julie DeWoody currently serves as the Chief Philanthropy Officer for the Colorado Symphony since November 2025. Prior to this role, DeWoody worked as the Executive Director of Development for the Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs at the University of Denver from March 2020 to November 2025. DeWoody held multiple positions at the University of Colorado Denver from February 2013 to March 2020, including Senior Director of Philanthropic and Partner Relations, Senior Director of Development & Campaign Manager, Director of Development, and Associate Director of Development. Previous experience includes serving as Campaign & Finance Director for Perlmutter for Congress, PAC Director at the DCCC, Executive Director of the Colorado Democratic Party, Finance Director at the Democratic Senate Campaign Fund, and positions within the Democratic Communications office at the Colorado House of Representatives. Julie DeWoody earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Music from the University of Colorado Boulder between 1995 and 1999, following education at Gateway High School from 1991 to 1995.
