George Welsh is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in school administration and teaching. After serving as a middle school social studies teacher at Marana Unified School District for nine years, they became a superintendent of schools in rural Colorado for 25 years between 1997 and 2015. Currently, George works as a senior partner at the Colorado Education Initiative, facilitating the Rural Superintendent Academy, and serves as the executive director at San Luis Valley BOCES. George earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 1995.
