Kareema Gathers, MBA, SHRM-CP, possesses extensive experience in retail and human resources. Beginning a career at Macy's in July 1999 as an Assistant Department Manager, Kareema excelled in driving sales and enhancing customer experiences until May 2004. Subsequently, at Talbots, roles as Assistant Store Manager and later Associate Store Manager involved educating and coaching staff, maintaining operational standards, and collaborating with senior management. From October 2016 to August 2019, an administrative position as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Enrollment Management at Mercy University was undertaken, followed by a tenure as Assistant Director of Human Resources, managing HR functions for a 1,400-employee system. Currently, Kareema serves as Associate Director of Human Resources at the University of Mount Saint Vincent, with a recent role as Senior Assistant Director of Human Resources. Education was attained at Mercy College, where an MBA was completed between 2017 and 2019.
