COC Nederland komt op voor de belangen, gelijke rechten, emancipatie en sociale acceptatie van LHBTI+ personen in Nederland en het buitenland.

We streven naar een diverse en inclusieve wereld waar mensen zich tot hun volle potentieel kunnen ontwikkelen, ongeacht hun seksuele oriëntatie, genderidentiteit of -expressie en geslachtskenmerken. 

Het COC werd opgericht in 1946 en is daarmee de oudste nog bestaande lhbti+ belangenorganisatie ter wereld. Als één van de weinige lhbti+ belangenorganisaties beschikken we over een speciale raadgevende status bij de Verenigde Naties.
