Sander Bollen is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in AI solutions, data engineering, and bioinformatics. Currently a Senior Software Engineer at Clockworks since October 2024, Sander previously served as an AI Solutions Architect at OKRA.ai from August 2019 to October 2024, where notable achievements included architecting the migration of data lake workflows to an Apache Airflow cluster on AWS. Sander also held the role of Data Engineer at OKRA.ai, where the development of backend web applications in Python and PostgreSQL significantly contributed to company offerings. Prior experience includes positions at Leiden University Medical Center as a Bioinformatician, the Max Delbrück Center as a Research Intern and Computational Biologist, as well as internships at UMC Utrecht and Leiden University.
