Frehiwot Getahun Birhanu is the Director for Country Support with the Global Women and Newborn Health team and the Director of SRMNH programs at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. They previously served as a Director of Programs for SRMNH and Cancer, as well as Program Manager and Senior Program Manager in the same area. From 2013 to 2016, Frehiwot worked as an Institutional Development Advisor at Management Sciences for Health, following their tenure as a Lecturer and Department Head at the University of Gondar from 2007 to 2013. They also held the position of Medical Education and Training Advisor at the Center for International Reproductive Health Training of the University of Michigan between 2016 and 2018. Frehiwot holds a nursing degree and a Master’s degree in Reproductive Health from the University of Gondar.
