Cristian Grigoras, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Materials Science at Clarapath since April 2024. Prior to this role, Cristian was a Project Manager at Balchem Corporation from December 2020 to March 2024, where the focus was on developing innovative microencapsulation technologies for health and nutrition. Cristian has extensive experience in the coatings industry as a Senior Scientist at Benjamin Moore & Co. from July 2014 to December 2020, specializing in aqueous polymeric dispersions. Previously, Cristian held roles as a Senior Scientist and Research Scientist at Ashland Specialty Ingredients (2009-2014) and as a Research Scientist at Kemira Water Solutions (2007-2009), respectively, contributing to various technical solutions across multiple application areas. Cristian began a career in academia as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Columbia University, working under renowned professors, after earning a Ph.D. in Organic and Polymer Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from the Technical University of Iasi.
