The role:

We’re looking for a motivated individual to step into this key role where you’ll play an essential part in delivering high-quality work. As a Hydrovac Operator, your main duty will be to excavate around underground utilities, remove debris and maintain vital infrastructure. A typical day will involve driving to site in an Isuzu truck to set up alongside one of our directional drill teams where you will then be tasked with uncovering buried utilities using water and vacuum to identify a clear drill path. During the drilling process you may be required to suck out fluids to support the crew. At the end of the day the truck will need to be emptied and returned back to the yard. This is a relatively physical role with a number of hours in the day spent on your feet.  With a commitment to safety, professionalism and environmental care you will be require to complete projects according to design, scope, and contract requirements under the guidance of our experienced Supervisors and Team Leaders.

When required you may also be tasked to drive a transporter or other plant and perform labouring tasks as part of our civil and build teams to support the smooth running of the business. This role requires a balance of working independently and collaborating with a dynamic team to get the job done right.

To be successful in this role you will have:

·         Hold a full class 1,2,4 driver’s license

·         Proven experience as a machine operator/Labourer in civil/build works

·         Proven experience operating a hydrovac truck would be beneficial but not required

·         Physically fit with an excellent work ethic

·         Honest and reliable

·         A team player

·         Willingness to take direction and learn
