Ed Flynn is a Boston City Councilor, currently serving since 2018, and a retired U.S. Navy veteran, having completed active duty during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom from 1987 to 2014. Flynn previously worked as a Massachusetts Probation Officer from 2008 to 2017, where they coordinated reentry plans for individuals released from incarceration and assisted veterans in the criminal justice system. Additionally, Flynn served as the Legislative and Congressional Affairs Coordinator at the U.S. Department of Labor from 1993 to 1998, working to enhance intergovernmental relations. They also completed training at the U.S. Department of Defense Public Information School in 2011.
