City Academy transforms children, families, and our community through exceptional education and bold expectations that empower children to overcome barriers. 

City Academy is the only private, independent elementary school in St. Louis that provides scholarship support to 100% of our students. Located in north St. Louis, we serve 202 students age four through sixth grade. We believe that all families deserve access to affordable, high-quality education. 

Our 199 alumni are transforming St. Louis. As leaders in our community, alumni participate in student government and civic clubs at their secondary schools, and volunteer as mentors and tutors at City Academy. Nearly one-hundred percent of college-age alumni matriculate into college.

This team, composed of specialized teachers in subjects such as science, humanities, math, physical education, and music, works collaboratively to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. They strive to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to overcome barriers, ensuring all families have access to exceptional and affordable education.

The Student Support & Development team at City Academy ensures comprehensive support for students and alumni, addressing their academic, emotional, and social needs. The team includes specialists like Speech & Language Pathologists, School Counselors, and Learning Specialists who provide targeted interventions and enrichment. The team also comprises Directors and Coordinators who manage student services, alumni engagement, and community partnerships, ensuring holistic development and sustained support for students through their educational journey and beyond.

Student Support & Development

The Communications and Development team at City Academy is responsible for promoting the school’s mission, engaging with the community, and driving philanthropic support. This team manages internal and external communications, organizes special events, and oversees fundraising initiatives to ensure that all students receive scholarship support. Their efforts help maintain and strengthen relationships with donors, alumni, families, and the broader community, contributing to the sustained growth and success of City Academy.

Communications and Development

The Finance and Operations team at City Academy ensures the financial health and operational efficiency of the school. They manage budgeting, financial planning, and reporting, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and handle student tuition. Additionally, they ensure the seamless operation of day-to-day activities, aligning financial strategies with City Academy's mission to provide accessible, high-quality education.
