Isilay Civan MSc, PhDs, is a seasoned professional with 20 years of applied experience in the design and construction industry, specializing in various building types, including healthcare and commercial facilities. Currently serving as the Global Design Lead at CITI, Isilay oversees the development of workplace strategies and design guidelines while engaging in contract negotiations and supplier relationship management. Isilay previously held a role as the Firmwide Research & Strategic Innovation Specialist at HOK, where they facilitated cross-pollination of ideas among sectors and developed innovative, evidence-based solutions. With an impressive academic background, including two PhDs in Facilities Management and Real Estate Development, Isilay has also contributed extensively to the field as a published author and as an active member of various professional organizations, including USGBC.
