Pankaj Soni is a seasoned professional in molecular discovery and biotechnology with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Molecular Discovery at Cibus since 2023, Pankaj oversees the Molecular Discovery department, focusing on protein engineering, strain engineering, and disease tolerance. Prior roles include Director of Oncology and Rare Diseases at Pfizer, where Pankaj provided strategic leadership for various asset teams, and Program Manager of Synthetic Biology at The Coca-Cola Company, focusing on innovative bio processes. With a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology Biotechnology from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research and an Executive MBA from the University of Michigan, Pankaj has also contributed to research as an Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Scientist at prestigious institutions, enhancing capabilities in protein design, engineering, and pharmaceuticals.
