Matthew Starkey has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Matthew started their career in 1997 as a Project Engineer at Northeast Utilities, where they worked on electrical and instrumentation projects. Matthew later became a Senior Engineer in Protective Relaying and then a Manager in Substation Engineering and Design.
In 2012, Matthew joined GE Energy Industrial Solutions as a Lead Field Engineer before moving to TRC Companies, Inc. in 2013. At TRC, they served as a Principal Electrical Engineer and later became the Supervisor of the Rocky Hill Office.
In 2020, Matthew joined AI Engineers, Inc. as a Principal Electrical Engineer, where they supported the Facilities MEP group and built a team for transmission and distribution substation engineering services. Currently, they work at CHA Consulting, Inc. as a Principal Engineer.
Matthew Starkey earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Instrumentation & Rotating Machines from Clemson University, where they attended from 1992 to 1996. From 2005 to 2007, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree at Rensselaer at Work. Finally, Matthew completed their education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Power Systems from 2007 to 2012.
