Steve Goldthorpe has had a long and distinguished career at Centrica since July 1980, currently serving as the Academy Director, where responsibilities include overseeing the strategy, quality, and delivery of learning content across the Centrica Group. Goldthorpe has managed diverse delivery teams, developed curriculum quality standards, and ensured compliance with health and safety regulations. Previously, Goldthorpe held various leadership positions at British Gas, including Head of Academy Operations and National Operations Manager, focusing on vocational training delivery for engineers and influencing training strategies within the gas industry. Experience also encompasses quality management, change program implementation, and direct involvement in training delivery and operational management throughout his career, which began as an Apprentice Service Engineer.
