Baroness Anne Longfield is the Chair of the Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs and the Founder of the Centre for Young Lives, where they serve as Executive Chair. They held the position of Children's Commissioner for England from 2015 to 2021 and served as Chair of the Commission on Young Lives from 2021 to 2024. Baroness Longfield has also been the Chief Executive of both Kids Clubs Network and 4Children during their career. They are a Labour Peer in the UK House of Lords and hold a BA Hons in History from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, earned in 1981.
