Serene Tan has extensive work experience in the field of internal audit, with a particular focus on IT audit. serene started their career in 2003 as a Senior Manager at Tote Board, where they worked in the Group Audit department, specializing in IT audit. In 2013, they joined Singapore Power Ltd as a Deputy Director for a short period of time. In 2014, they joined CPF Board as a Deputy Head of Internal Audit, specifically in charge of IT audit. Serene Tan was later promoted to Director of Internal Audit in March 2020, a position they currently hold.
Serene Tan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from The University of Queensland, where they studied from 1989 to 1991.
