Matthew Ritchey

Division Director

Matthew Ritchey, PT, DPT, MPH is a Captain in the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and currently serves as the Director of the Inform and Disseminate Division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In this role, they oversee the CDC Data Hub and initiatives like SAPHIRE and CDC WONDER. Previously, CAPT Ritchey held positions such as Chief of CDC’s CSELS Partnerships and Evaluation Branch and led various emergency response efforts. Their extensive background includes leadership roles in heart disease and stroke prevention research and serving as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer. Matthew received a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Duke University, a Master of Public Health from Ohio State University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Xavier University.
