Nathan Burke is a Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering graduate from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, with a diverse range of engineering experience. Currently serving as a 3500 Marine Application Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. since June 2022, Nathan supports both current products and New Product Introductions (NPI) for 3500 diesel engines in marine applications. Prior experience includes roles as a Design Engineering Intern at Caterpillar, where Nathan developed a design guide for hydrogen use in internal combustion engines, and as a Project Engineering Intern at Marathon Petroleum Corporation, focusing on refinery upgrades. Nathan has also interned at Cummins Southern Plains, where engine tests were conducted and problems were diagnosed, and held various internships that enhanced skills in design analysis, product failure investigation, and collaborative engineering projects.
