Niels van Royen serves as the Head of the Department of Cardiology at Radboud University Medical Centre Nijmegen since June 2017. Prior to this role, Niels van Royen held the position of Prof. Dr. at VU medisch centrum from September 2010 to May 2017. Niels van Royen earned a PhD in Algemene geneeskunde from the University of Amsterdam between 1990 and 2003, along with a degree in interventional cardiology from the same institution.
