Doug Johnson is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of communication and ministry. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Communication at Carson-Newman University since July 2021, Doug previously held the position of Assistant Professor and adjunct instructor at the same institution. Doug's extensive experience includes over a decade as Pastor of Media at First Baptist Church Morristown, where responsibilities encompassed multimedia ministry and live TV broadcasts. Additionally, Doug has held various roles in church leadership, web development, systems administration, and programming, reflecting a diverse skill set in education, technology, and pastoral care. Doug's formal education includes a Ph.D. in Communication from Regent University and multiple degrees in theology and communication from Luther Rice University, Carson-Newman University, and State Tech.
