Peggy Troy

Peggy Troy served as President and CEO of Children’s Wisconsin from 2009 to 2024, becoming the first woman to lead the state’s only health system dedicated solely to the care of children. During her tenure, she guided the organization through significant growth and transformation, including national recognition by U.S. News & World Report and the expansion of a pediatric workforce that included more than 750 physicians and advanced practice providers from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

A champion for child health and visionary leader of a $2 billion health system, Ms. Troy is recognized for her commitment to innovation, advocacy and developing future leaders in pediatric healthcare. She has served on the board and policy committee of the Children’s Hospital Association and has spoken nationally on pediatric health policy and system transformation.

Ms. Troy earned her BSN from Marquette University and a master’s degree in nursing from DePaul University. She has been honored with numerous recognitions, including the Distinguished Service Award from the Wisconsin Hospital Association, CEO of the Year by BizTimes and Alumna of the Year Award from Marquette University.

Ms. Troy continues to serve on the boards of Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation and QuadMed. She previously held board roles with the Medical College of Wisconsin, Teach for America and the Marquette University Board of Trustees.
