Owen Jones is a Professor at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd since 2017, previously serving as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne from 2004 to 2016, and as a Lecturer at the University of Southampton between 1999 and 2004. Owen began an academic career as a Research Fellow at the Australian National University from 1997 to 1999 and worked as a Postdoc at The University of Sheffield from 1995 to 1996. Academic training includes a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge (1990-1994) and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from The University of Queensland (1986-1989).
