Erin Duffy is a Senior Program Officer in Drug Discovery at the Gates Foundation, a position they have held since 2025. Previously, Erin served as Chief of Research and Development and co-Principal Investigator at CARB-X from 2019 to 2025, and as Executive Director and Chief Scientific Officer at Melinta Therapeutics from 2009 to 2011. Erin's early career included roles as Associate Director of Innovative Discovery Technologies at Achillion Pharmaceuticals and Senior Research Scientist at Pfizer from 1996 to 2000. They earned a PhD in Physical-Organic Chemistry from Yale University and conducted postdoctoral research there in computational structural biology.
