Derek Nelson is the Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Capital One, a position they currently hold while also serving in various strategic roles at the company since 2024. Previously, Derek was the Chief Executive Officer of The Hilltop MicroFinance Initiative from 2017 to 2018 and had held positions including Director of Client Recruitment there. Derek is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Foreign Service with a focus on Science, Technology, and International Affairs at Georgetown University.
