Dr. Rachel Haug Fossbakk is a Chief Scientist at SINTEF Ocean and has served as Director of Strategic Research on Biodiversity and Area Use since 2021. They were a Post Doc (Senior Research Fellow) at NTNU, focusing on stakeholder mapping and user group conflicts, and held various visiting scholar positions, including at UC Santa Barbara and Rice University. Dr. Fossbakk is currently the Senior Editor for Cambridge Prisms: Plastics, addressing critical issues at the intersection of plastics, health, and environmental justice. Their academic journey includes degrees from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
