Chin H. Choi is a Regional Legal Counsel at ByteDance, focusing on global regulatory investigations across APAC, the Middle East, and Africa. They previously held positions as Lead Counsel at ByteDance Korea and Senior Foreign Attorney at Shin & Kim, providing legal guidance on issues such as data privacy and regulatory compliance. Choi began their legal career as a Law Clerk for the US Bankruptcy Court Northern District of California and has also served as a Legal Affairs Officer with the Ministry of National Defense and as a Staff Judge Advocate for the Republic of Korea Air Force. They earned a Doctor of Law from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
