Matt Linney is a Senior Structural Forensic Engineer at Buro Happold, where they specialize in the inspection, assessment, and design of remedial strengthening for high-rise buildings, particularly those constructed using the Large Panel System (LPS). They possess extensive experience in the design of new structures using steel, reinforced concrete, and timber, applying Eurocodes through both 3D analysis and hand calculations. Matt previously held the position of Senior Structural Engineer at Ridge and Partners LLP from 2021 to 2023 and graduated from the University of Surrey with a First Class Honours MEng in Civil Engineering. Prior to their engineering career, they worked as a waiter at Loch Fyne Seafood & Grill and gained initial engineering experience as a Graduate Structural Engineer at Gyoury Self Partnership.
