Alex J Evans, PhD, currently serves as the Director of the LunaSCOPE NASA SSERVI Institute at Brown University, leading a multi-million-dollar research initiative focused on planetary geophysics and aerospace innovation. With extensive experience in academia, Evans has held several titles, including Assistant Professor and Thomas J. And Alice M. Tisch Assistant Professor of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences at Brown University, where curriculum development and public engagement programs were key responsibilities. Prior to this, Evans contributed to research and managed interdisciplinary teams at institutions such as the University of Arizona and NASA JPL, specializing in lunar history and planetary science. Evans holds a PhD and a Master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
