Eleana Makri, PhD, is a data scientist with extensive experience in both industry and academia. Currently employed at Brambles since April 2023, Eleana previously worked at Peak in a similar role from March 2021 to April 2023. Eleana completed a data science project with Pivigo and Siisti.ai in August 2020, using natural language processing methods to enhance automated data cleaning software. Prior to these roles, Eleana served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York, developing solvers for electromagnetic wave transport. Academic experience includes a graduate researcher and teaching assistant positions at Wesleyan University and the University of Crete, where Eleana contributed to significant research and laboratory instruction. Eleana holds a PhD in Physics from Wesleyan University, as well as both an MSc and BSc in Physics from the University of Crete.
