Francois Duchesneau

Director, Structure

Francois Duchesneau is an experienced structural engineer with a strong background in civil engineering, holding a Master's degree from Polytechnique Montréal and a D.E.S.S in management from HEC Montréal. Currently serving as the Director of Structure at BPA since June 2019, Francois has held various roles in structural engineering, including project director and project engineer at previous positions. Notable responsibilities include the design of reinforced concrete, wood, and steel structures, expertise assessments for existing structures, and construction supervision. Achievements include the seismic design of multiple residential buildings, significant renovations to a classified heritage building, and project leadership in the construction of a new headquarters for Japan Tobacco in Geneva. Francois has also completed internships focusing on construction supervision and technical plan preparation early in the career.
