Maria Lockheardt, Ed.D., currently serves as the Executive Director of Schools and Academic Programs at Boston College, a position held since 2018, after serving in various roles including Director of Development for The Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences/The Schiller Institute and Director of International Advancement. Prior to Boston College, Maria Lockheardt was at Wellesley College from 2011 to 2017, where roles included Director of International Advancement and Senior Development Officer for Arts/International Advancement. Additional experience includes Executive Director at the Worcester Public Library Foundation and Director of Development at Phillips Academy’s Addison Gallery of American Art. Maria Lockheardt has also worked as Corporate Program Director at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum and as Program Manager at the National Endowment for the Arts. Educational background includes a Doctor of Education in higher education and leadership from Boston College, with previous degrees in Art History from Penn State University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
