John Shannon is the Mission Area Vice President at Boeing Exploration Systems, leading teams focused on the Space Launch System, CST-100 Starliner, and the International Space Station. They served as Program Manager for the Space Shuttle Program at NASA, overseeing the final missions, including the last Hubble servicing mission. John also led Boeing's International Space Station program and has held various leadership roles within NASA, managing complex human spaceflight programs. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University and completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School. John is also an Ex Officio Board Member at the Challenger Center and serves on the Board of Directors for the Coalition for Deep Space Exploration.
