Silke Hobbie is currently the Global Head of Business Development & Licensing in Respiratory at Boehringer Ingelheim, a position held since 2017. They previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Oncology and led the Respiratory lab at the same company from 1996 to 1998. Silke earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology from Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen and completed a postdoctoral program at Stony Brook University. They also hold a degree in Biology from Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
