Cormac McCarthy is currently the Director and Head of Securities Finance Legal EMEA at BNY, where they focus on Markets Legal EMEA. Prior to this role, Cormac served as Director and Managing Counsel at BNY Mellon from 2022 to 2024 and spent over a decade at Citi as Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, leading legal efforts in the EMEA Agency Securities Lending and Direct Custody and Clearing businesses. Additionally, they had a brief secondee role at Linklaters in 2014, where they contributed to litigation and dispute resolution across various financial cases. Cormac earned a Bachelor's Degree in Law with Politics from Ulster University and completed the Legal Practice Course at The University of Law.
