Joseph Chao, Ph.D., currently serves as the Senior Avionics Chief Engineer at Blue Origin, a position held since July 2021. Prior to this role, Joseph Chao accumulated significant experience at Raytheon Missiles & Defense from March 2006 to July 2021, where positions included Engineering Fellow, Chief Engineer, and Operations Director. Joseph Chao holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University, as well as both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.
