Yakov Shenkman is a Senior Front Office Risk Manager with nearly 20 years of experience in market risk management across various asset classes. Currently serving as the Director of Risk & Quantitative Analysis at BlackRock, they lead a team that provides independent risk oversight and collaborates with portfolio managers to ensure effective risk management. Previously, Yakov held roles at Bank of America and Morgan Stanley, where they focused on portfolio strategies and market risk. They hold a Master of Science in Operations Research with a focus on Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Information Systems from The Wharton School.
