João Cruz is an experienced security professional specializing in information security and cyber risk intelligence. Currently serving as a Principal Security Research Scientist at Bitsight since August 2023, João is involved in data analysis projects aimed at enhancing the Bitsight product through innovative methods of data collection and collaboration with engineering teams. Prior to this role, João held positions as an Information Security Manager at Fidel API and CUF - Hospitais e Clínicas, providing expertise in various security domains and leading architectural changes. João began a career in security as a Security Specialist at SIBS, focusing on cryptographic infrastructures, and as a Security Consultant at Unisys, where contributions included architecting SIEM solutions for diverse sectors. João holds multiple degrees in Information Security and Computer Science from the University of Lisbon.
