Eric Collins is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in threat intelligence and information security. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Cybersecurity Operations & Threat Intelligence at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. since June 2023, Eric is responsible for developing and managing tactical and strategic cybersecurity capabilities. Prior to this role, Eric held multiple positions at Blue Shield of California from May 2017 to June 2023, including Senior Manager of Information Security and Principal of Cyber Threat Intelligence, where significant contributions were made in building the Cyber Threat Intelligence program and executing comprehensive information security strategies. Eric’s earlier career at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, spanning from March 2006 to May 2017, included roles such as Cyber Threat Specialist and Network Analyst Team Lead. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from California State University-Sacramento and associate degrees from Sierra College. Eric holds multiple relevant certifications, including CISSP, GCTI, GSLC, HCISPP, GCIH, CCTA, and PMP.
