Dave Weaver is a Senior Vice President at Biohaven Pharmaceuticals, with over 25 years of experience in early-phase drug discovery and small-molecule tool development. They have previously held prominent roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and ION Biosciences, where they successfully led teams focused on ion channel lead discovery and pharmacological research. An inventor of the Thallium Flux Assay and Thallos thallium-sensitive fluorescent dye, they have significantly contributed to advancements in understanding ion channels and GPCRs. Dave is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemistry at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
