Laurel Talbot, SHRM-SCP, CPCC has a long history of work experience. Beginning in 1998, they were an Adult Education Coordinator and Environmental Science Educator at Frost Valley YMCA. In 2001, they were the Field Science Program Director at Headlands Institute/Yosemite Institute. From 2005 to 2007, they were the National Director of Human Resources and Director of Operations at NatureBridge. In 2007, they were the Interim Executive Director at Headlands Institute. Since 2009, they have been a Co-Active Coach and HR Consultant for their own business. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Coach & Facilitator for BetterManager, providing contract based coaching and trainings based in management best practices, with specialty areas including Strengths Finder and DISC assessments.

Laurel also holds certifications from SHRM, International Coaching Federation, Co-Active Training Institute, TTI Success Insights, The Grove Consultants International, Center for Creative Leadership, National Council for Behavioral Health, Mindfulness Northwest, University of Massachusetts Medical School, Bay Area Nonviolent Communication, CRR Global, Gallup, Mediation Training Institute at Eckerd College, and obtained the certifications in 2016, 2010, 2010, and null respectively.
